Sound familiar?

Why finding one stylist you trust is so rare.

A new stylist every visit

One regular has been with Amanda for close to a decade, following her sister's lead. Another says Amanda was the first stylist who truly understood her hair.

Being talked into more than you asked for

One reviewer put it plainly: Amanda doesn't hard sell or promote unnecessarily. The prices posted at the door are the prices you pay.

A cut that looks nothing like the photo

Amanda works from what you jointly decide, not her own idea of what suits you. One reviewer said what they discussed is what she walked out with, 99% of the time.

Face-framing layers, $42

"First time here and absolutely loved Amanda's work!! She's so careful with what she does and you can tell she's really passionate. My hair is really long so $42 for face-framing layers, a trim, wash, blow and neck & shoulder massage was a great deal."
Keisha Edwards Google

Honest, still deciding

"First attempt with the stylist Amanda. Quite happy with the chin length bob. Trim, wash, shoulder massage and blow dry within an hour, $32. Giving it a week of wash and wear to be sure, thus 4* for now instead of 5*. Reasonable prices."

The stylist behind the chair

Amanda's first shop on her own.

Before opening on Holland Drive, Amanda spent close to a decade building a name across salons around Singapore. One long-time client describes her experience as commendable, with perm, straightening, colouring and treatment work all part of the last decade's practice.

Regulars follow her rather than the shop. One client's whole extended family, from children to adults, has their hair cut by her. Another has tried salons across Paragon, Plaza Singapura, Tiong Bahru and more, and says Amanda was the first stylist who truly understood her hair.

"The store is bright, clean and spacious. Her prices are reasonable and she doesn't hard sell or promote unnecessarily. She's new to the neighbourhood but definitely experienced in the industry."Wanqi Zhang

Questions clients ask first.

How much does a cut cost?

Prices are posted at the door and depend on length: a wash and cut runs from $26 for men to $32 and up for long hair, and reviewers describe the pricing as reasonable.

Can I bring a photo of what I want?

Yes, and it's genuinely useful, especially on a first visit. Amanda studies inspiration photos closely, and reviewers say the finished cut matches what was discussed.

Do you do colour and highlights?

Yes, using Paul Mitchell and Shiseido Professional lines, from a root colour touch-up to full highlights, with an ammonia-free option available.

How experienced is the stylist?

Amanda has close to a decade of professional experience, having worked with clients across several Singapore salons before opening this shop on her own.

Is it a hard sell for extra treatments?

Should I book ahead?

It helps. Regulars call the day before so Amanda can plan her appointments and give your hair proper time.
